Julie Taylor, a long-time resident of Mark Hall Ward, has been an active and dedicated member of the community for many years. Her hands-on approach to addressing local issues—whether it’s picking up litter, reporting pavement and pothole defects, or gathering signatures for petitions—has made her a familiar and trusted figure among residents.

Julie understands the challenges faced by the people of Mark Hall because she experiences them firsthand. She is committed to being a voice for those seeking an alternative to the two-sided council and promises to bring a much-needed sense of maturity and fresh perspective to the chamber.

As a result of that event we have been able to make a donation to Tess Dementia’s Memory Cafe of £500. Today, two members of the Harlow Green Party, Jennifer and Julie took a visit to the Cafe to present a cheque to Tess.

Tess says that the money is going towards the hall hire which makes it possible to support many families on a weekly basis. She also said that she is truly touched that Jennifer came to her group with her lovely mum only a couple of times before her mum became unwell but she remembered the Memory Cafe and chose to support.

We think that Jennifer deserves a round of applause and that Tess is doing an amazing job for people suffering with dementia and their families and carers.

Our annual Christmas Fayre was a fabulous success and included a performance from Razed Roof who signed to ‘This is Me’ along with our lovely singer Laura Baker.

It was an absolute pleasure to raise money and visit this fabulous group of youngsters today. Razed Roof are putting on new production on May 15th at Harlow Playhouse. The production is called ‘Unfolding:A Magical Garden’. We can’t wait to see it

• In 2022, Harlow voters could choose a Green Party candidate in all but one of the wards and we were rewarded with 1779 votes.

• Last year, we had full slate, stood candidates in every single ward and took 9% of the votes.

Our tough ask this year was to field 33 candidates due to the Electoral Commission boundary changes. From a membership pool of 41, we knew it would be a challenge so we rolled up our sleeves and managed to put forward 24 candidates. Every ward in Harlow had Green representation and this will give us a firm base to build upon.
